Asymmetric Balance

This movie poster is an example of asymmetrical balance. The left side has a large figure that instantly attracts the viewer. The right side, however, shows a destroyed city that also attracts attention. So although the left side has a larger, more eye-catching element compared to the right side, both sides fit together, creating asymmetric balance.

Symmetric Balance

This album cover is an example of symmetric balance. The skull is mirrored at the center, making each half identical to each other. Since both sides are the same, the halves create a single skull, and a symmetric balance.
